Our Company

"Our certainty model is one of our unique selling propositions and a real tangible competitive differentiator. What is unique is the ‘4-point’ certainty model, which not only offers not only price and time certainty, but also quality and benefit certainty."

Certainty

One of the unique things about the technology services business is that it is plagued with failures in terms of cost over-runs, scope shrinkage, and disastrous delays in delivery schedule. In fact, reports show that up to 80% of IT projects do not complete on-time, on-scope, and on-budget.

The opposite has been true of the projects that Thoughtcorp has worked on which have met all these targets. We are successfully able to offer the certainty of a fixed-time, fixed-price delivery model based around success-milestone payments. Our delivery model guarantees that Thoughtcorp is willing and able to take the risk of project delivery off a client's shoulders, placing it squarely on our own.

There are 4 elements to our Certainty Model. These include:

  • Delivery Certainty - It is generally the case that the most significant projects that will gain priority, approval and budget will be those that are supported by a strong business case, therefore time to deploy translates into financial returns to the Client. This does not mean that we must deliver faster than alternatives, however it does mean we must be more predictable on delivery dates than alternatives.

  • Quality Certainty - High standards in requirements gathering, development and quality assurance translate directly into cost of delivery and user satisfaction. Therefore, we commit to best practices in delivery and a predictable and reliable solution.
  • Cost Certainty - Our confidence is most emphasized by our willingness to commit to the cost of delivery. A cost certain model requires among other things two very important elements - a thorough understanding of requirements and a strong governance model.

  • KEY DIFFERENTIATOR
  • Benefit Certainty - This last point in our Four Point Certainty model is almost a given provided our earlier belief that most if not all projects that will be prioritized and receive funding are those with a solid business case supporting them. However, in the event that benefits are not clearly identified by the Client it should be a requirement of the assessment stage to crystallize the most pronounced benefits and ensure that they are considered in the project charter.
